As Digital Technology Manager you shape the ELSE division's global digital portfolio and roadmap. You bridge business strategy with technical execution to drive growth and leadership in digital. You lead innovation, set standards, and guide architectural decisions across digital platforms, cloud software, and embedded systems. You collaborate with R&D and product teams to translate strategy into tangible results. This hybrid role offers impact at scale within ABB’s Global R&D.

Responsabilità

- Define and evolve the global technology roadmap for digital products, cloud software, software tools, and embedded systems in collaboration with senior digital and product leaders
- Collaborate with R&D; Team Managers to align competences and objectives with the overall R&D; strategy
- Identify emerging technologies with R&D; and Corporate Research teams and drive knowledge transfer
- Manage investments, resources, risks, and IP within the area of responsibility
- Drive innovation, define technology standards, and guide architectural decisions for the division's digital platforms




- Establish common development processes, tools, architecture principles, and quality standards across teams
- Coordinate local and global teams and partners to resolve conflicts and technical problems

Requisiti fondamentali

- 10+ years in digital technology management with experience defining roadmaps and leading complex portfolios
- Experience leading development processes from requirements to product launch; strong Agile and Gate Model experience
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and system architecture
- Understanding of IoT, edge computing, and industrial automation technologies
- Ability to influence without authority in matrix organizations and to work across countries and cultures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent project and program management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management; fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
