Overview

You will lead and drive technical projects in coatings, applying advanced chemistry and analytical methods to deliver high-quality products. In this role you will work on assessing and improving coatings formulations, investigating and solving complex failures, and leveraging advanced instrumentation to support product reliability. You will collaborate across teams to ensure safe, compliant, and economically sound development and reformulation efforts. This position offers the chance to shape coating performance and customer satisfaction in a global metals and finishes environment.

Responsabilità

- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to develop and improve coatings products
- Develop, reformulate, and maintain product quality with attention to economic considerations
- Investigate coating failures and contamination, using appropriate analytical methods
- Apply advanced technologies to create perceptible improvements in product performance
- Provide timely,



accurate solutions to technical problems across multiple projects
- Comply with safety guidelines and participate in additional duties as assigned

Requisiti fondamentali

- 5+ years formulating experience in coatings
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other relevant Science
- Knowledge of SEM/EDX instruments, capabilities and limitations
- Experience identifying contamination on field samples
- Experience recognizing coating failure symptoms under a microscope
- Ability to investigate coating complaints and determine necessary analyses
- Excellent knowledge of analytical chemistry beyond coatings
- E-Coating expertise
