Overview

Join Euronext's Market Services Operations in Milan as Market Surveillance Analyst. You will supervise and analyze trading activity across Borsa Italiana, focusing on derivatives, and support market participants while ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll develop and tune surveillance tools, including AI-based solutions, to identify suspicious patterns and automate routine tasks. This role blends analytics, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain fair, orderly markets and drive innovation.

Responsabilità

- Real-time and ex-post supervision of markets across Borsa Italiana with a derivatives focus
- Handle market interventions, input errors, after-hours surveillance, and respond to member firms' requests
- Prospective and retrospective monitoring of compliance with trading venue rules and European regulation
- Manage surveillance alerts, investigations, and reporting of suspicious transactions (STOR, AML) to authorities
- Monitor liquidity provision obligations in real time and retrospectively
- Develop and maintain algorithms and tools for real-time and retrospective surveillance




- Design and test AI-based tools to identify suspicious trading patterns and automate surveillance tasks
- Deliver high-quality customer service to market participants and partners
- Work in an office setting with potential extended hours to support coverage
- Contribute to the evolution of surveillance capabilities and processes through cross-functional collaboration

Requisiti fondamentali

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team
- Interest in financial markets dynamics
- Quantitative background and analytical capabilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with AI/machine learning applications and technologies
- Operational understanding of trading venue rulebooks and market microstructure is a plus
- Knowledge of European regulation (MiFID II, MiFIR, MAR) is advantageous
