Overview

As a Platform System Specialist, you will oversee the design and sizing of platform systems, ensuring alignment with customer needs and partner inputs. You join a collaborative engineering team within NAVIRIS, coordinating major sub-contractors and leading technical reviews. You present partner solutions to customers and drive clear, convincing communications. You work across electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary domains to ensure compliant, high-quality system integration for naval vessels. This role offers exposure to cross-border projects and a chance to shape critical shipboard architectures in a global partnership.

Responsabilità

- Follow-up, understand and coordinate platform systems design (architecture and sizing) based on partner data
- Coordinate technically major sub-contractors and manage action items through regular meetings and design reviews
- Present proposed solutions to customers and effectively communicate technical concepts
- Conduct System Engineering tasks and manage requirements for platform-related systems




- Ensure designs from partners meet customer needs and comply with relevant standards
- Knowledge of surface ships architecture of systems and applicable class rules for mechanical and electrical systems

Requisiti fondamentali

- 5 to 10 years of experience in Platform System Design (Functional design and Integration, including on-board activities)
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture, or Marine Systems Engineering, or Auxiliary Systems Engineering, or Electrical Systems Engineering
- Good knowledge of integrating Auxiliary or electrical systems to Platform Management System (PMS)
- Professional English (speaking, writing and reading); Italian or French as a plus
