Overview As Operations Manager, you will own automation and AI-driven improvements across Deel’s global payroll processes. You’ll build, test, and iterate AI-powered workflows (Akai) while leading end-to-end projects across multiple workstreams. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and ops teams to fix gaps, surface leadership-ready insights, and drive efficiency at scale. This hands-on role rewards proactive problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to advance our global operations. Responsabilità

Manage day-to-day operational workflows and identify efficiency gains Support automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve accuracy and speed Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline tools and processes for internal teams and customers Ensure adherence to operational controls, compliance requirements,



and risk management Contribute to fraud prevention and regulatory alignment through strong operational standards Monitor performance metrics and escalate risks or gaps to leadership Drive customer-focused process improvements to shorten turnaround times and improve resolution Expand self-service options to reduce manual support Implement feedback loops to inform continuous improvement Coordinate operational readiness for new product or market launches with stakeholders Assist go-to-market efforts by removing bottlenecks for smooth adoption Track and report operational outcomes with insights for leadership Execute operational projects and strategic initiatives with senior leaders

Requisiti fondamentali

5+ years of experience in operations in a fast-paced environment Comfort with building and troubleshooting AI workflows, not just using AI Engineering background or equivalent technical exposure preferred Experience managing and mentoring small to mid-sized teams Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented, solutions-minded KPI-driven with track record of improving metrics Exposure to process automation and operational tooling Background in FinTech, consulting, banking, or fast-paced startups preferred Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable insights (SQL familiarity a plus) Collaborative team player with energy and bias for action collaborative teamwork high energy and proactive mindset strong problem-solving orientation AI tools and workflow troubleshooting (e.g., Akai) SQL familiarity process automation
