Overview As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer you join CAI’s Data Centre / Building Commissioning team to validate mission-critical mechanical equipment through start-up, tests, and maintenance planning. You will demonstrate correct installation and readiness to operate, support design reviews, and contribute to LEED/Green Star submission efforts. You will develop test scripts, coordinate vendors, and ensure safe, compliant handover and documentation. This role shapes operational readiness for critical facilities.
Responsabilità
Develop mechanical equipment and system test scripts Participate in customer equipment FAT/FWT Coordinate and manage vendors Inspect equipment against vendor submittals Provide test results and documentation for delivery, installation,
and testing Support design specification reviews and project schedules QA/QC of installation and start-up Assign commissioning tasks to the team Execute tests to verify compliance with design specs Ensure safe work practices on site Engage with customers to ensure schedule adherence Provide daily team status reports Conduct facility walk-downs, turnover, and punch list reviews Understand LEED / Green Star specifications and requirements
Requisiti fondamentali
BS in a mechanical or engineering field or equivalent experience 2+ years in commissioning and qualification in a regulated industry or facility engineering/management Experience in data centre construction/commissioning or mission critical environments HVAC, fluid/hydraulic systems, TAB, factory witness test experience, equipment handover Strong verbal and written English communication MS Project experience Willingness to travel internationally if required excellent communication vendor coordination team leadership MS Project TAB FWT/FAT
