Overview In this senior role, you lead Kong’s global Quality Engineering for flagship runtimes, shaping an AI-driven testing framework. You drive a transformative SDET organization and the next-generation, intelligent test substrate leveraging LLMs and autonomous test agents. You partner with product and engineering to embed testability early and establish enterprise-grade QE metrics. This role combines hands-on strategy with cross-geo leadership to raise testing standards across high-performance data planes.

Responsabilità

Lead and grow a geographically distributed SDET organization across NA, Europe, and Asia Define and execute the AI testing roadmap, including autonomous test agents, test case generation, and self-healing scripts Set quality strategies for low-latency data planes (C/Lua/Rust) and modernize CI/CD-driven test automation Oversee end-to-end, performance, regression, and chaos testing within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes)



Promote shift-left quality and governance by embedding testability into architecture with product management and software engineering Define and monitor QE health metrics (CI reliability, automation coverage, defect density, time-to-triage, release stability)

Requisiti fondamentali

10+ years in software engineering/SDET with a track record in enterprise test automation 4+ years in engineering management leading distributed or global SDET teams Hands-on vision for integrating AI/LLMs, generative AI, or autonomous agent frameworks into software quality workflows Operational excellence in follow-the-sun cadence, vendor partnerships, and cross-timezone execution strong leadership and mentoring cross-functional collaboration strategic thinking and roadmap execution AI integration with LLMs and autonomous agents test automation framework design for performance/chaos testing CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes
