Overview

In this role, you will drive profitable growth in Casualty by underwriting complex new and renewal business and applying strong relationship skills. You will partner with brokers to explain risk appetite and our value proposition, and to structure terms, pricing, and protections that meet client needs. You’ll expand the broker network, collaborate across distributions and lines, and mentor junior underwriters. Responsabilità

- Underwrite new and renewal Casualty business and manage risk exposure
- Communicate risk appetite and value proposition to brokers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients




- Grow new business by expanding broker network and attending broker events
- Collaborate with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and other lines to target accounts and cross-sell
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters
- Uphold high standards of customer service for brokers and clients

Requisiti fondamentali

- Proven underwriting experience in Casualty
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Customer- and sales-oriented mindset: motivated, tenacious, proactive, and accountable
- Interest in mentoring and training if not previously held
