Discover your potential with APM Terminals and become part of a team that's redefining the industry standards. /p p We are currently looking for an bAutomation Engineer /b to join our Asset Maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous development of our automated terminal systems. /p p This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the most technologically advanced container terminals in Europe, collaborating with Operations, technology providers, and engineering teams to maximize safety, availability, and productivity. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport project teams and end users during the implementation of automated systems and technologies. /li liContribute to the design, testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems, networks, and related infrastructure. /li liTroubleshoot industrial network and wireless communication issues,
documenting solutions and maintaining technical knowledge bases. /li liMonitor risks and opportunities during implementation projects, preparing reports and recommending preventive actions. /li liEnsure compliance with IT and Operational Technology (OT) service management processes and contribute to their continuous improvement. /li liParticipate in research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing automation system performance, reliability, and competitiveness. /li liCoordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful implementation and integration of automation solutions. /li liDrive equipment reliability through fault analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions. /li liMonitor and analyze equipment reliability and availability KPIs to support long-term maintenance and automation strategies. /li /ul h3What We Are Looking For /h3 h3Required Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liDegree in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical experience. /li liExperience working with highly automated electromechanical systems. /li liGood understanding of electrical systems and electrical schematics, including motors, actuators, circuit breakers, and three-phase systems. /li liKnowledge of electronic devices, drives/inverters, motor modules, I/O components, and PLCs. Experience with Siemens products is considered a strong advantage. /li liBasic understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, databases, and APIs. /li liKnowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and Modbus. /li liBasic programming skills in at least one language such as Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, VB6,
