Overview

In this role you drive AI and computer vision initiatives within the AI Robotics team, delivering production-ready AI/vision solutions for energy systems. You design and optimize algorithms, deploy them across cloud and edge environments, and collaborate with cross-functional experts to enable safer, more efficient energy production. You will shape how sensors, robotics, and AI intersect on real customer deployments, including international sites. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong impact on energy transformation.

Responsabilità

- Contribute to AI and Computer Vision developments within the AI Robotics Team
- Design, implement, and optimize AI and ML algorithms
- Develop and deploy computer vision systems for robotic inspection, defect detection, knowledge management, and quality control
- Integrate solutions into existing and new energy systems to improve efficiency and safety
- Create and implement advanced sensors for data gathering in AI/robotics applications
- Develop and test software components per customer/technical requirements
- Collaborate to deploy AI and robotics solutions at customer sites
- Explore new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead in energy transformation




- Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
- Lead and contribute to R&D; projects with internal/external partners, academia, and SMEs

Requisiti fondamentali

- M.Sc. degree in computer science with AI focus (Ph.D. considered a plus)
- 4+ years of experience in AI, computer vision, generative models, perception
- Experience applying AI/vision to hardware/robotics is a plus
- Proven ability to initiate and lead collaborations with academia and SMEs
- Broad knowledge across computer vision and machine learning; robotics/physical AI a plus
- Experience with state-of-the-art deep learning models and pipelines
- Experience handling data from various sensors; remote sensing data a plus
- Experience integrating sensors on robotic platforms, quadruped robots a plus
- Willingness to travel to deploy/test AI/robotics solutions and present results internationally
- Knowledge of Python and DevOps processes (MLOps, CI/CD, GitHub) and experience with containerization
- Fluent in English and Italian
