Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lighting Designer role based in Milan.

The Lighting

Designer will develop concepts, layouts, and detailed lighting plans for architectural and interior projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and design intent. Day-to-day responsibilities include producing drawings and specifications, selecting fixtures, coordinating custom solutions, and performing photometric calculations and simulations. The role involves collaborating with architects, interior designers, engineers, and suppliers, as well as preparing visual presentations and documentation for client reviews.

The Lighting





Designer will also support project management activities, track design revisions, and contribute to quality control throughout design and implementation.

Qualifications

- Experience in architectural or interior lighting design, including concept development, detailed design, and preparation of technical documentation.
- Proficiency with lighting design and visualization tools (e.g., DIALux, Relux, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar), and strong skills in 2D/3D drawing and rendering.
- Knowledge of lighting technologies, luminaires, control systems, and sustainable design principles, including energy efficiency and relevant standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, and present design proposals visually and verbally.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in custom fixture design or coordination with manufacturers is a plus.
- Working proficiency in English; Italian language skills are an advantage for local coordination and site work.
