Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal / Junior Lawyer (English-speaking) to join our Palermo office.

The position is open to recent law graduates as well as junior lawyers at the beginning of their professional career who are interested in developing their experience within an international legal practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with our lawyers, providing legal and operational support to international clients, with a particular focus on Italian immigration and citizenship matters.

The role will include legal research, drafting and review of legal documents, preparation and organisation of client files, assistance with immigration and citizenship applications, and coordination with clients, public authorities, consulates and other professionals involved in immigration and citizenship matters.

Candidates should have a strong academic legal background, excellent written and spoken English, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Demonstrated interest in immigration law, Italian citizenship law, and international legal matters.





Previous professional experience is welcome but not required, as the selected candidate will receive training and work under the supervision of the Firm’s lawyers.

The position is based in Palermo and requires regular attendance at the Firm’s Palermo office.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of immigration and citizenship applications, supporting documents, declarations, and related legal documentation in both Italian and English.

· Conduct legal research on Italian immigration law, citizenship law, residency requirements, and related administrative procedures.

· Support the preparation and management of applications for visas, residence permits, permanent residency, and Italian citizenship.

· Assist with citizenship by descent, marriage, and residency procedures, including preliminary document review and eligibility checks.

· Prepare client communications, legal memoranda, checklists, and advisory notes in English.

· Coordinate with consulates, municipalities, Prefetture, Questure, public authorities, translators, and other external professionals involved in client matters.

· Participate in client meetings and calls, particularly with international clients, and assist in explaining procedures, documentation requirements, and next steps.

· Monitor case progress, filing deadlines, appointments,



and document requirements, ensuring that client files are accurate and up to date.

· Assist with the collection, review, and organisation of civil status records, certificates, apostilles, legalisations, and certified translations.

· Ensure compliance with the Firm’s professional standards, ethical obligations, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

- Degree in Law from an Italian or European university.
- Recent graduates and junior lawyers are welcome to apply; prior professional experience is not required.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Demonstrated interest in immigration law, Italian citizenship and international legal matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Availability to work from our Palermo office.
