OverviewIn this role you will manage inventory valuation governance and centralize the valuation process to support financial reporting and monthly closings.
You will ensure consistency between physical stock and accounting records across global Barilla operations and participate in periodic inventories with internal plants, warehouses, and external partners.
You will optimize FIFO/LIFO postings and coordinate with auditors and statutory reporting to strengthen inventory representation in financial statements.
This position combines analytical rigor with cross-functional collaboration in a long-established global food company.
ResponsabilitàEnsure FIFO postings for managerial and statutory reporting across materials and finished goods
Support year-end LIFO valuation for Barilla G. e R. Fratelli S.p.A.
Oversee accounting for subcontracting materials, mill production, and semi-finished goods (sauces focus)
Ensure proper cost center maintenance activities impacting costs and investments
Reconcile SAP R/3 data with inventory reports for COGS materials
Manage labour cost allocation for production cost centers and cross-area hours
Perform annual physical inventory controls at various sites and external partners




Manage inventory allowances via monthly reviews of blocked materials
Provide inventory and production cost data to external auditors including variance analyses
Support monthly/annual ISTAT and Unionfood data submissions with production data by category
Requisiti fondamentaliUniversity degree in Economics or similar
At least 2 years of experience in Administration or Finance
Fluency English
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills are a plus
Team player with ability to build solid relationships
Strong analytical mindset and attention to data accuracy
Ability to manage complex processes and ensure data consistency
