Overview

As Safety Assurance Manager, you will lead and execute safety assurance activities for the IXL projects within the D&IS; Italy Regional Centre Safety team. You will define safety plans, manage risk analyses, and defend Safety Case arguments with internal and external assessors. You’ll coordinate Safety Assurance Engineers and ensure RAMS and safety activities align with project needs. This role offers impact across complex signaling projects and contributes to safer, more reliable rail systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to sustain high safety standards and project delivery.

Responsabilità

- Coordinate Safety Assurance activities per Safety process in Signaling Safety Instruction
- Perform safety analyses, manage Hazard Log, review RAMS, Cyber, V&V;, and TC activities from a safety perspective
- Define safety plan and manage safety workload and scheduling
- Build Safety Reports and Safety Cases
- Apply project-specific safety assurance methodologies and conduct risk acceptance




- Attend periodic Safety Reviews and defend Safety Case with assessors
- Coordinate Safety Assurance Engineers on IXL projects
- Support review of safety issues, root cause identification and mitigation

Requisiti fondamentali

- Engineering degree in a related field
- Italian and English proficiency for technical documentation
- Knowledge of Cenelec standards for safety (or AREMA, IEEE, etc)
- Experience in RAMS/Functional Safety Assurance is advantageous
- Full engineering lifecycle experience (from spec to validation)
- Experience monitoring workload and schedules of safety activities across multiple projects
