This position performs a variety of both complex and routine administrative services and works closely with senior human resources management and other staff members of the human resource department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of principles and practices of all aspects of human resources management.
Knowledge of federal, state, local laws, rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to always maintain sensitive and confidential information of human resources administration work.
Skills to include:
Problem Solving – identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information accurately and skillfully.
Planning and organizing – prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans to meet all required deadlines.
Quality Control – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
Adaptability – adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands,



and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Dependability – consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Communications - strong verbal and written communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree required in human resources, business management or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of four (4) years' experience in an administrative/clerical position.
One (1) year of human resources, payroll, or benefits experience.
Public sector or local government HR experience preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residency.
Must obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
