OverviewYou will drive pipeline growth for PV and BESS projects in Italy, coordinating with cross-functional teams to secure permits, manage external partners, and move opportunities toward financial close and construction.
You'll monitor permitting timelines, budgets, and cash flow impacts, providing updates to top management.
This role sits at the heart of renewable project development, enabling Lightsource bp to expand its onshore solar and storage portfolio.

ResponsabilitàCoordinate with Legal, Grid, Commercial Engineering, Power Markets, Planning, Structured Finance and external advisors to evaluate greenfield and Co-Dev opportunities for PV and BESS
Support and coordinate third-party developers in processing project applications and obtaining legal authorizations for ground-mounted PV and BESS installations
Coordinate with teams and authorities to integrate documents and provide feedback during permitting
Update forecasting dashboards for permitting timelines, budgeting, cash flow, and financial impacts of contingencies




Engage with authorities and stakeholders (municipalities, landowners) during the authorization process
Support teams in M&A; due diligence and financial modeling related to projects
Assist business lines in technical due diligence activities
Support forecasting and budgeting related to environmental mitigation and regulatory processes
Requisiti fondamentaliGeneral knowledge of Italian PV and BESS regulatory framework
Strong understanding of greenfield and co-development processes
Ability to reflect changes in assumptions into financial models
Proficiency in English
GIS knowledge and ability to analyze site constraints (plus)
Five-year degree in Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of experience as a Business Development Manager in the PV market
Experience in BESS BD is a plus
Experience and interpersonal skills in managing relations with public organizations
Goal-oriented
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Regulatory knowledge of Italian PV/BESS market
Greenfield and co-development process expertise
