OverviewIn this role you will drive the design of mechanical components and sub-assemblies within the New Product Development process, from initial spec through to start of production.
You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure right-first-time solutions, balancing performance, obsolescence, and cost.
You will help define tests, support prototype work, and contribute to DFMEA and BOM management.

ResponsabilitàCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze and evaluate specifications
Prepare preliminary product feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D;
Identify risks that could affect development timelines
Create and maintain component and sub-assembly specifications
Execute 3D/2D CAD design for parts and layouts
Support R&D; in prototype preparation and testing




Contribute to DFMEA preparation
Prepare and maintain preliminary technical BOM
Collaborate with R&D; and Purchasing on costs/investments
Work with moulding departments to analyze manufacturing processes
Support Quality Control, Production during Engineering Build and Pre-production
Participate actively in technical design reviews
Prepare technical documentation for status updates and future steps
Requisiti fondamentaliBEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience in designing mechanical components and systems
Knowledge of 3D design tool Siemens NX
Knowledge of mass production product development
Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and test result evaluation
Creative and innovative
