OverviewAs Project Director you lead large EPIC projects, guiding Project and Discipline managers to deliver on time and within budget.
You act as the client-facing face, safeguarding profitability and project quality while aligning with McDermott's policies.
You shape execution strategies, manage risks and changes, and drive digital and process improvements for complex offshore and onshore energy projects.
You'll mentor leaders and contribute to a culture of safety and ethical project delivery.
ResponsabilitàLead and coordinate large EPIC/EPFC projects with multiple managers.
Own the Project Execution Plan, budget, schedule, and compliance with HSE, quality, and contractual goals.
Act as McDermott's principal representative to client and stakeholders.
Direct project teams, manage relations with customers, and identify growth opportunities.
Oversee changes, risk, forecasting, and financial performance to meet objectives.
Review expenditures, costs, estimates, and financial forecasts; approve budgets.
Foster team morale, resolve conflicts, and ensure safety culture and policy adherence.
Lead bid/proposal efforts and support negotiations for project awards.
Champion adherence to McDermott processes, procedures, and tools; drive continuous improvement.
Ensure timely project close-out and documentation of lessons learned.
Support digital transformation initiatives and data-driven tracking of performance.
Requisiti fondamentali15+ years in oil and gas with at least 10 years in project management
Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
Experience managing large-size EPIC projects; knowledge of marine construction
Ability to develop project execution strategy, profit plan, and objectives
Strong technical competency and ability to manage project team selection
Excellent communication skills; ability to resolve problems and communicate with stakeholders
Data analytics focus for tracking and trending project performance
Understanding of EPC contracts and contracting strategies
Ability to work in remote/difficult locations and manage cross-functional teams
Leadership skills to empower and mentor team members
Knowledge of risk management, cost controls, scheduling, and forecasting
