About the Role
EU Policy Insight is looking for a Research Coordinator (Volunteer) to coordinate research and publication activities focused on EU digital policy.
The role is particularly suitable for PhD candidates, PhD holders, researchers, and policy professionals with an interest or background in EU law, regulation, economics, political economy, public policy, or related fields.
Key areas may include the EU AI Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Euro, payments regulation, platform regulation, and emerging EU digital-policy developments.
Responsibilities
Coordinate research projects on EU digital-policy topics.
Assign research and writing tasks to contributors.
Coordinate deadlines and publication schedules.
Review research drafts and provide constructive feedback.
Support editing and preparation of research publications.
Communicate with contributors and monitor project progress.
Maintain research and publication workflows.
Support the development of new research initiatives.
Report progress and research outcomes to the founder.

Compensation & Future Funding
This is currently an unpaid volunteer position.
However, if EU Policy Insight successfully secures funding through EU funding programmes, grants, or other external funding opportunities, paid roles and/or compensation may become available in the future.
Any future compensation will be subject to the funding received, the approved project budget, the applicable funding programme, and the terms of the relevant grant or project agreement.

Requirements
PhD candidate or PhD holder preferred or Master
Background in EU law, regulation, economics, political economy, public policy, or a related field.
Knowledge or strong interest in EU digital policy.
Strong research, analytical, and written English skills.
Good organisational and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Interest in research publication and European policy.
