Job Purpose The Process Engineer is responsible for the design, industrialisation, validation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for SOFC cells and stacks.

The role defines process parameters and specifications, supports equipment and tooling qualification, and contributes to the ramp-up from pilot to serial production. The Process Engineer drives improvements in yield, quality, cycle time and cost, acting as the technical owner of assigned manufacturing processes.

The role reports to the Head of Industrialisation and works closely with R&D;, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and industrialise manufacturing processes, defining process parameters, operating windows, tolerances and capability requirements.
- Lead process validation, including DOE, pre-series and qualification runs, and prepare validation documentation.
- Support NPI and technology transfer from development to production, providing manufacturing input to R&D; and ensuring Design for Manufacturability.
- Define and maintain process documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, control plans, process flows, SOPs and PFMEA.
- Define technical requirements for equipment, tooling and automation, supporting supplier selection, commissioning and qualification, including FAT/SAT and IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Monitor process performance through FPY, scrap, cycle time, OEE and Cp/Cpk,



using data analysis and statistical process control to identify and resolve deviations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why and Ishikawa.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency and reduce scrap, downtime, lead time and cost.
- Provide technical support to Production, support process stabilisation and train operators on process requirements and controls.
- Support capacity planning, layout, material flow, supplier qualification and process audits.
- Prepare process documentation for technology and process transfer to other production sites, partners or Group entities.
- Report process performance, project progress and technical risks to the Head of Industrialisation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3–7 years of experience as Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrialisation Engineer or in a comparable production environment.
- Experience in technology-intensive manufacturing environments such as fuel cells, advanced ceramics, batteries, electronics, semiconductor, automotive or medical devices.
- Proven experience in process validation, NPI and production ramp-up.
- Practical knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC and Cp/Cpk.
- Experience with equipment specification, commissioning and qualification, including FAT/SAT and IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and structured problem solving; Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of measurement and inspection methods, technical drawings and GD&T.;
- Good command of Excel and data analysis; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing execution systems is a plus.




- Understanding of ISO 9001 and HSE requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent English required; Italian highly preferred.
- Experience in SOFC, ceramic processing or technology transfer is a plus.

Working Conditions The role is based in Pergine Valsugana (Trento), Italy, with regular presence on the production floor.

The position requires availability to travel, including international travel, as needed for production, supplier, technology transfer and other business activities.

Full-time, permanent position.

Salary range: € 35.000 – € 45.000 gross annual salary (RAL), depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience and skills.
