SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Performs work independently under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. Interacts, as needed with the COO, the Director of Program Services, and Program staff.

COMPENSATION CLASSIFICATIONS: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Responsibilities

Social Security Income (SSI) SSA SSP / Disability Reviews and Audits

Receives and reviews Social Security determinations and/or redeterminations complete process and application for Representative Payee status for Individual. Complete RPR /Representative Payee reports.

Section 8 –Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program.

Receives house renewal and recertifications. Works with area Housing Authority to ensure accuracy.

Individual’s Leases (All Programs when necessary for move ins/outs). Maintain and update all Residence leases for Individuals to ensure accuracy.

Mass Health Insurances (For our rep payee individuals-help with others)

Complete all application process steps to ensure all Individuals are properly covered with active current benefits. Application process of ARD / Authorized Representative Designee to represent and speak to Mass Health regarding benefits. Complete Mass Health Eligibility Reviews and Renewal Application for Health Coverage updates for continuation of coverage. Ensure that all Individuals have current active Mass Health cards

Ensure Medicare benefits and cards are in place and all Individuals who qualify for Medicare have coverage

Correct any and all benefits that are suspended

Responsible for sending out annual Charges for Care Letters as well as Representative Payee Letters.





Upholds the values and culture of PBS while ensuring that PBS interventions are implemented with integrity.

Other Responsibilities

Respond to inquiries. Provides information to staff and individuals outside of the organization

Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies

Complies with all organizational policies and procedures

Maintains professionalism in the work environment

Performs all other duties as assigned by the CFO or COO

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Services, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required A working knowledge of accounting or related software

Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations is desirable

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel and other general office procedures, as well as Outlook and/or Google email

Proven ability to function confidentially in an office environment

Physical Requirements

Position will require moderate sitting, standing, walking, and occasional driving to run errands. On a weekly basis, the approximate standards include the following and are dependent on required workload:

Sitting 67%

Standing/Walking: 30% or more

Lifting: 3% or more

Transportation: Only as needed depending on responsibilities
