Key Responsibilities
Project Management — Italy Renewables
- Manage the full project lifecycle from contract award through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations.
- Define project scope, execution strategy, schedules and milestones, aligned with client requirements, permitting conditions and grid-connection constraints.
- Control project budgets, costs, cash flow and contingencies; identify deviations early and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate internal resources (engineering, procurement, HSE, O&M;, finance) and external stakeholders (clients, EPCs, subcontractors, suppliers, DSOs/TSOs, technical advisors).
- Oversee tendering, negotiation and management of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring contractual, technical, HSE and regulatory alignment.
- Provide regular project reporting covering progress, risks, costs, quality, HSE, KPIs and documentation.
Responsabile Tecnico — Regulatory & Technical Responsibilities
- Act as technical reference and signatory for activities covered by D.M. 37/2008, including design, installation, transformation, expansion and maintenance of electrical and renewable energy systems.
- Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, CEI/IEC norms, grid codes (CEI 0-21, CEI 0-16), regional and municipal requirements.
- Verify that personnel and subcontractors hold the required professional qualifications, certifications and training.
- Define and supervise technical procedures and operating instructions, including design review workflows, installation and commissioning procedures, quality and inspection plans.
- Review and approve project designs, single-line diagrams, calculations, technical specifications, test and commissioning protocols and declarations of conformity.
- Ensure complete and traceable technical documentation for all installations (as-built drawings, manuals, certificates, test reports, maintenance records).
- Interface with public authorities, DSOs/TSOs, fire brigade and other entities on technical matters including grid connection, inspections,
authorisations and certifications.
- Support audits and inspections by authorities or clients; ensure timely remediation of non-conformities.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies and Italian HSE legislation, including D.Lgs. 81/2008, across all project sites and operational activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture among internal teams and subcontractors; ensure risk assessments, method statements and safety documentation are prepared, implemented and maintained.
- Ensure construction, commissioning and maintenance activities are executed safely with due regard to environmental and social impacts.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as main point of contact for Italian clients on assigned projects, managing expectations, variations, claims and commercial matters.
- Communicate project status, technical solutions and risk assessments to clients, investors, lenders and stakeholders in a clear and transparent manner.
- Provide technical and project-management input to business development, tendering and proposal activities in Italy.
Continuous Improvement
- Capture and disseminate lessons learned and best practices across projects and portfolios in Italy and internationally.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project-management methodologies, engineering standards and O&M; practices.
- Support the assessment and introduction of new technologies and digital tools that optimise plant performance, reliability and lifecycle value.
Required Qualifications
Education & Professional Standing
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical discipline suitable for RT appointment.
- Professional qualifications fulfilling the legal and regulatory requirements to be nominated as Responsabile Tecnico under D.M. 37/2008 for an installation and service company in the electrical/renewables sector.
- Additional specialisation in renewable energy systems, power systems or grid integration is a strong advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive project-management experience in energy, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years focused on solar PV and/or storage projects in Italy or comparable markets.
- Demonstrated track record delivering complex, multi-million-euro projects with multidisciplinary teams and multiple subcontractors.
- Solid experience in design review, site supervision, commissioning and performance testing of PV plants and related electrical systems (LV/MV, SCADA, protections, communications).
- Previous experience as Responsabile Tecnico or equivalent technical responsible/signatory role in the energy/electrical sector is highly desirable.
