OverviewAs Chief of Development at Alstom, you own end-to-end product development for train platforms, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality targets.
You lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, industrialization, and services, coordinating subsystem managers and design authority.
You drive risk management, trade-offs, and compliance with contract requirements.
You report progress, manage development planning and costs, and champion Operational Excellence to support scalable, safe, and innovative mobility solutions.
ResponsabilitàRepresent the technical authority to the customer on major topics (design approval, VO, major non-compliances)
Ensure compliance with contract technical requirements
Be responsible for Train level Development Work Packages (QCD)
Report product development progress
Escalate development issues to project level
Set and allocate technical and QCD objectives with project development team
Coordinate cross-functional activities and deliverables (Development Planning, Change Management, DFo, DFS)
Make key cross-functional or technical decisions and trade-offs




Represent design authority and ensure product liability and compliance with Alstom standards
Manage technical risks and define mitigation plans
Interact with sites and métiers management to secure development needs and deliverables
Liaise with Platform Design Authority to align on new technical gaps versus tender hypotheses
Contribute to collect Project REX on product performances and evolution
Requisiti fondamentaliExtensive technical and Alstom platform knowledge
Engineer degree or equivalent
Desirable: for big projects (>******* hours) 5+ years in product development and management
Competencies in project management, product development, and leadership
Strong problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environments
Strong leadership and ability to federate cross-functional teams
Experience leading cross-functional activities with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment
