ppEphos is building vertically integrated, advanced packaging solutions on glass panels. We transform raw glass into electronic and optically active substrates for die-to-die connectivity, manufactured entirely within our own facilities. Our systems are built for companies developing AI accelerators, including hyperscalers and top-tier chip designers. /p pWe have already delivered products to leading global firms, and we are currently building a new fabrication facility to scale production by 100x. This expansion is backed by a $50M EU CHIPS Act grant—the first ever awarded to a startup. /p h3The role /h3 pWe're scaling from an RD cleanroom to a full production fab for photonic integrated circuits, and we need someone to design and build the network and OT infrastructure from the ground up. /p pYou'll be one of the first hires on a new team, the group that owns the software, the data, and the infrastructure behind everything we manufacture. Much of what you build will be specified before the building is even finished. That's the nature of the role: you'll define how our fab network, line-control systems, and IT/OT boundary work, with the freedom to choose the right tools and vendors rather than inherit someone else's stack. /p pThis is a hands-on, high-ownership role. If you care about engineering velocity, rock-solid networking, best-in-class security, and building something that has to run reliably from day one of production, there's a lot here to dig into. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign the new production Fab network from scratch: architect a segmented network following OT security best practices (e.g. NIST 800-82), dimension and select the switches, access points,
and firewalls the new facility needs, and evaluate vendors beyond what we use today. /li liSet-up an SD-WAN with multiple ISPs, connect our two locations into a single reliable network, and ensure the whole stack survives failures of single elements (switches, firewalls, or ISP). /li liBuild and run the infrastructure the rest of the team ships on: servers, containers, databases, and CI/CD. Take our internal applications from an RD setup to something that runs unattended in production. /li liManage the PCs and endpoints that run our fabrication lines. /li liDecide and implement how corporate systems (Google Workspace, SSO) interact with fab-floor systems, and where the two must stay strictly separate. /li liBuild monitoring and alerting across the network and fab line parameters. /li liMaintain and improve the monitoring systems we already deployed in our RD cleanroom. /li liManage vendor relationships for outsourced functions, owning the architecture and staying the technical point of contact. /li /ul h3Skills experience /h3 ul liBachelor's degree (or further) in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. /li li3+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure/systems administration. /li liStrong networking fundamentals: segmentation, firewalls,
VPNs, WAN design; comfortable evaluating and selecting hardware to be deployed in the new facility. /li liExperience taking applications from an RD stage to production: containers, CI/CD, and self-hosted or cloud services. /li liExperience operating in bare-metal environments. /li liStrong grasp of infrastructure security: IAM, secrets management, network security, and hardening across cloud and self-hosted systems. /li liExposure to OT/industrial environments is a strong plus. /li liExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex, cross-layer issues in a fast-moving environment. /li liCollaborative communicator who can work with hardware, process, and software engineers and explain infrastructure trade-offs clearly. /li liCan commit to tempo pieno office presence; due to the nature of the role we will not consider remote applicants. /li /ul pEphos is a demanding environment. We operate with exceptional ambition and move fast, because the market gives us no other option. We expect excellence from you, as we do from one another. This environment offers unmatched opportunities to learn, build, and grow, but it also requires significant commitment. /p h3What we offer /h3 ul liSalary range from €40,000 to €65,000, depending on experience. /li liStock options; granted at this stage, they can become extremely valuable. /li liAn exceptional opportunity for growth. /li /ul h3The hiring process /h3 ul liInterview with the team lead. /li liInterview with a senior engineer. /li liInterview with our CEO. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
