You will work across several backend services rather than being assigned to one isolated project. The environment consists of distributed, cloud-native systems, with Java as the primary language and Python used across parts of the wider platform. /p pYou will collaborate closely with Product Owners, DevOps engineers and other development teams, helping shape technical solutions across multiple services and translating product requirements into scalable backend architecture. /p h3Key Responsibilities: /h3 ul liDesign, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, primarily in Java /li liWrite production-quality code as a core part of your daily work /li liContribute to Python services and codebases when required /li liWork across approximately three to four interconnected microservices /li liMake and influence technical and architectural decisions /li liBreak down complex requirements and guide their technical implementation /li liReview code and establish strong engineering standards /li liMentor engineers and provide technical guidance without formal line-management responsibility /li liCollaborate with Product Owners to evaluate requirements, trade-offs and delivery approaches /li liBuild and operate cloud-native services, primarily on AWS /li liDeploy and run containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker /li liWork with DevOps engineers on CI/CD, deployment, scalability and reliability /li liUse data, analytics and operational insights to support technical decisions /li liContribute to testing, documentation and continuous improvement throughout the SDLC /li liSupport the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and solutions where appropriate /li /ul h3Requirements: /h3 ul liAt least 5 years of professional backend engineering experience /li liStrong,
