Overview As a Business Development Manager for Italy, you will drive Visa's growth by identifying and closing new fintech opportunities. You'll own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to agreement, in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will shape compelling value propositions for emerging use cases and help expand Visa's capabilities across the Italian market. Prospect and build a qualified pipeline of net-new leads in fintech
Meet or exceed sales targets and take corrective actions when needed
Qualify and prioritise opportunities based on strategic fit and revenue potential
Collaborate with Digital Sales and cross-functional partners to accelerate deal progression
Partner with tech enablers to shape new use cases and open fintech verticals
Develop commercial frameworks and lead contract negotiations to close




Maintain CRM hygiene, define next steps, and forecast consistently
Support or lead Visa Innovation Program Italy execution
12+ years of experience in business development/new business sales (hunter role) in payments, fintech, or tech partnerships
~ Fintech experience is a strong plus
~ Native Italian, fluent in written and spoken English
~ Excellent AI, presentation and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office
~ Strong project management with ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple initiatives
~ Willingness to work 3 days per week in the office in Milan
