Senior Software Application Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated, self-driven, and experienced Senior Application Software Engineer to develop cutting-edge music software for one of the leading and fastest-growing companies in the audio plugin industry. The role focuses on creating professional audio applications and plugins across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and iOS.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop application architectures and user interfaces according to provided specifications.
- Collaborate with an international team of software engineers to ensure smooth and efficient development processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the development process, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Write and maintain technical documentation on core software components.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met.

Tasks/Activities

- Develop and implement high-performance code for audio applications and plugins.
- Design, test, and maintain new features and updates for cross-platform compatibility.
- Apply advanced knowledge of design patterns, computer graphics, and real-time systems to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with other developers to estimate development times, solve technical challenges, and optimize performance.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving version control workflows using systems like git.

Reporting To

- You will report to the Lead Software Engineer or the Head of Software Development.





Collaborates With

- Software Engineers (local and remote teams).
- UI/UX Designers.
- QA Engineers.
- Product Managers and Technical Leads.

Department

- You will be part of the Software Development Department, specifically within the Application Development team.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Deep understanding of multithreading, real-time applications, and design patterns.
- Experience with the JUCE C++ framework for developing cross-platform audio applications.
- Expertise in 2D/3D computer graphics and proficiency with libraries such as OpenGL, Metal, or Vulkan.
- Familiarity with development environments such as Apple Xcode and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and good coding practices.
- Experience with designing and developing large-scale software projects
- Experience with version control systems such as git.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
