Our Project Management & Grants Compliance Team supports companies, research organisations and public bodies throughout the implementation of European and national funded projects, helping them successfully manage their projects and meet their contractual and financial obligations.

For our Italian team, we are looking for a Grants Compliance & Project Management Consultant to support clients throughout the post-award phase of funded projects. The role combines project coordination, administrative and financial follow-up, Grants Compliance and client interaction.

This is a post-award position: the focus is on the implementation and management of funded projects rather than proposal writing or other pre-award activities.

Your Mission

You will help clients successfully implement European and national funded projects, supporting them with project coordination, administrative and financial management and Grants Compliance.

Working closely with clients, project partners and experienced PNO consultants, you will progressively take ownership of projects and client relationships while developing your expertise in European funding and project management.

Your Tasks

- Support clients with the day-to-day implementation and management of European and national funded projects.
- Monitor project activities, resources, deadlines, budgets and reporting obligations.
- Support administrative and financial management, including cost eligibility, cost allocation and financial reporting.
- Help clients interpret funding rules and fulfil contractual and administrative obligations.
- Coordinate activities, information and documentation with project coordinators, consortium partners and internal client teams.
- Support interactions with funding authorities and project officers, including amendments, reviews and project communications.




- Contribute to periodic reporting, audit preparation, project reviews and other post-award processes.
- Identify potential compliance risks and contribute to practical solutions for successful project delivery.

Your Profile

- Around 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in the implementation, administration or post-award management of funded projects.
- Exposure to European or national funding programmes, ideally Horizon Europe, H2020, LIFE, CEF, NRRP or similar schemes.
- Experience or a solid understanding of project administration, financial follow-up, grant management or funding compliance.
- Familiarity with funding portals such as the Funding & Tenders Portal, LIFE eGrants, Regis or similar is an advantage.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and client-oriented approach.
- Fluent Italian and professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- University degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline.

- Permanent Italian employment contract with a salary of €32,000–€35,000 gross/year, depending on experience and responsibilities.
