Overview
In this role you will drive supplier quality and capability for Hitachi Energy's Transformers unit, aligning with category strategies to improve supply performance. You will lead supplier assessments, audits, and parts approvals, driving continuous improvement across a global supplier base. The position emphasizes quality assurance, compliance, and sustainable supplier practices to support operational excellence. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions, delivering measurable impact on cost, quality, and delivery.

Responsabilità
- Lead supplier qualification through SAP Ariba assessments and global on-site audits
- Implement supplier improvement actions based on audit findings and process gaps
- Oversee global parts approval to ensure materials meet requirements
- Monitor supplier performance indicators and run the annual Supplier Performance Evaluation
- Develop and execute action plans for supplier performance recovery with stakeholders
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for escalated non-conformities
- Drive global continuous improvement of supplier management processes
- Support sustainability and compliance initiatives aligned with material and supplier goals
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum 8 years in quality assurance and supplier development
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining or transformer components
- Knowledge of heat treatment and surface protection processes (e.g., galvanization, coating)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001; external auditor certification is a plus
- Welding/painting inspection certifications (IWE/IWI, FROSIO, ISO 9712) is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 3834, EN 1090, welding standards and NDT standards
- Experience with APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Process Control Plan, inspection test plan
- Strong analytical, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration
