About the role

Role: Executive Search Consultant / Senior Researcher – Private Equity, Investment Banking & Corporate Finance

Location: Milan (Hybrid)

Role and Mission

As an Executive Search Consultant / Senior Researcher, you will join Sparq’s Private Equity, Investment Banking & Corporate Finance practice, working directly alongside the Market Leader responsible for the desk.

The practice advises leading Private Equity funds, investment firms, Investment Banks, M&A; boutiques, investment holdings and portfolio companies on the identification and hiring of high-calibre professionals, from investment and corporate finance roles through to senior leadership positions.

Your mission will be to ensure high-quality execution and delivery across search mandates, taking ownership of market mapping, candidate identification, assessment and process management.



The role is primarily focused on search execution and delivery rather than business development.

You will operate in a highly specialised and entrepreneurial environment, with direct exposure to senior candidates, clients and some of the most relevant players across the Italian Private Capital and Corporate Finance ecosystem.

- Execute Executive Search mandates across Private Equity, Investment Banking, M&A; and Corporate Finance, from search strategy and market mapping through to placement.
- Identify and directly approach high-quality candidates, conducting interviews and preliminary assessments of track record, technical exposure, motivations and cultural fit.
- Prepare high-quality candidate dossiers, shortlists and client-facing materials, while providing relevant market intelligence on talent, compensation and competitor dynamics.
- Manage candidates throughout the entire search process and work closely with the Market Leader on target-company identification, candidate positioning and mandate execution.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience within an Executive Search or Headhunting firm, as a Researcher, Senior Researcher, Associate or Consultant.
- Proven experience in direct search, candidate sourcing, market mapping,



interviewing and end-to-end execution of search assignments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the confidence and maturity to interact with senior candidates and executives.
- Excellent attention to detail, high standards in client-facing materials and the ability to manage multiple searches with pace and accuracy.
- Fluent Italian and strong English. Previous exposure to Private Equity, Investment Banking, M&A;, Corporate Finance or Financial Services searches is highly valued but not mandatory.

What You Can Expect You will work directly with the Market Leader of the Private Equity, Investment Banking & Corporate Finance practice, gaining exposure to complex and senior-level mandates across investment teams and portfolio companies.

You will be given meaningful responsibility from day one, with increasing autonomy over searches and direct exposure to both clients and candidates. The objective is to develop into a trusted execution partner within the practice, combining rigorous search methodology with deep market knowledge and a highly relationship-driven approach.
