The Gender, Protection, and Inclusion (GPI) team at WFP Headquarters supports the integration of these considerations across all WFP policies, programmes, and operations.
Job purpose: The Disability Inclusion Officer will play a crucial role in strengthening WFP's commitment to disability inclusion across its global operations. This position involves leading engagement with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), developing and updating guidelines to ensure accessibility and inclusiveness, and streamlining consultation processes. The officer will also provide technical assistance on accessibility for built environments and ICT, support Country Offices in developing and managing disability inclusion work plans,
and contribute to the mainstreaming of disability inclusion throughout WFP's strategic planning and reporting. Furthermore, the role will involve providing technical support to Human Resources on reasonable accommodation and embedding disability inclusion throughout the recruitment cycle to enhance the employment of persons with disabilities within WFP.
