ph3Guidance Counselor/Vice Principal of Academics /h3 pCSF is seeking a bGuidance Counselor/Vice Principal of Academics /b for Grades 7-12 who will play a dual role in supporting student success.
This individual will provide academic guidance, personal and career counseling, and oversee academic programs to ensure alignment with Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools.
As a key member of the leadership team, they will contribute to the academic integrity, student wellbeing, and continuous improvement of the school.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Guidance Counseling /h3 ul liProvide academic and career guidance to students in Grades 7-12, supporting course selections, academic pathways, , graduation requirements, post-secondary applications and career planning.
/li liMonitor student progress, identify students at risk, and develop intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and parents.
/li liOrganise university and college visits, information sessions, and career exploration activities.
/li /ul h3Vice Principal of Academics /h3 ul liOversee academic programming for Grades 7-12, ensuring curriculum delivery aligns with the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success principles.
/li liProvide instructional leadership to teachers, supporting best practices in assessment, differentiation, and student engagement.
/li liSupport the professional development of faculty, facilitating training on assessment, reporting, and student success initiatives.
/li liWork closely with the Senior School Principal, Head of School and administrative team on strategic planning for the upper school.




/li liAct as a key liaison for parent communication regarding academic progress and concerns.
/li /ul h3Qualifications Requirements /h3 ul liQualified Teacher Status with a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Ontario or equivalent).
/li liOntario Guidance AQ, Part 1 (or equivalent certification in guidance counseling).
/li liProven leadership experience in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of student support services.
/li liIn?depth knowledge of Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools and experience implementing assessment and reporting policies.
/li liStrong ability to develop and support academic programs that foster student success.
/li liDemonstrated experience with academic and career counseling in a secondary school setting.
/li liExcellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
/li liExperience working in an international school setting is an asset.
/li liAbility to work in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple responsibilities with a student?centered approach.
