The Satellite Architect will report to the Satellite Systems Engineering Team Leader and will be involved in major satellite project, based on PLATiNO, PLT-NG and EMPYREUM small platforms (150-500kg S/C mass) for multi-mission applications (EO, Telecom, Science, PNT, others).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES The Satellite Architect is responsible for the definition, development, and technical leadership of satellite systems and platform products throughout the entire project lifecycle, from mission analysis and system design to verification and in-orbit operations. The role ensures the technical coherence of the solution, balancing mission objectives, performance, cost, schedule, and risk while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and interfacing with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership for satellite development projects, ensuring effective management of engineering activities, resource allocation, technical risk assessment and mitigation, schedule support, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including Customers, Program Managers, Product Assurance, Mission Authorities, Payload Authorities, Ground Segment team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead and coordinate all multidisciplinary engineering activities related to the design, development, verification, validation, launch, and operations of satellite and platform systems.
- Support End-to-End Mission Analysis and perform mission requirements decomposition, allocation, and flow-down to lower-level system elements.
- Define, manage,

and verify satellite system requirements and technical specifications, including the preparation and maintenance of System Requirements Documents (SRD), Technical Specifications, Compliance Matrices, and Verification Control Documents (VCD).
- Define and manage internal and external interfaces, including Payload-to-Platform, Platform-to-Ground Segment, Satellite-to-Launch Vehicle, and subsystem-level interfaces, ensuring technical consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform and/or lead satellite-level analyses, engineering studies, performance assessments, budgets, and trade-off evaluations covering areas such as mass, power, data handling, communications, AOCS, propulsion, thermal, and mission performance.
- Define and maintain the satellite functional and physical architecture, ensuring end-to-end system consistency and compliance with mission requirements.
- Ensure alignment of the lower-level products, including payloads, platforms, subsystems, equipment, and software elements with the overall system architecture.
- Define and maintain the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), Design, Development, and Verification Plan (DDVP) and support the definition of the Assembly, Integration, Verification and Test Plans (AIV/AIT Plans)
- Support AIV and AIT activities
- Support the evolution and industrialization of small satellite platform product lines and technology roadmaps, identifying opportunities for standardization, reuse,

and product improvements.
- Contribute to business development activities by supporting technical bid preparation, proposal writing, technical negotiations, and customer presentations, including the definition of compliant and competitive technical solutions.
- Support project reviews and milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, AR, ORR, FRR), ensuring technical readiness and successful project execution.
