In this role you will steer materials science efforts for Subsea Production Systems projects, ensuring design compliance and timely delivery. You’ll work with global, cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust material solutions. You’ll manage technical risks, supplier interactions, and documentation to support manufacturing and welding activities. Responsabilità

- Lead materials engineering efforts on product levels for assigned projects and tenders, ensuring efficiency and integrity
- Perform contract reviews and highlight exceptions or clarifications
- Communicate requirements and consequences clearly to project or tender teams
- Utilize systems for requirements management, clarification registers, change tracking, and risk registers within materials engineering
- Manage project budget for materials engineering and track variations in a timely manner




- Oversee client communications and follow up on materials manufacturing and welding activities with supplier documentation review
- Maintain oversight of material selection topics (metallic and non-metallic), corrosion control, coatings/insulation, and manufacturing methods

Requisiti fondamentali

- BSc in Materials Engineering (or related) with substantial experience in Materials Engineering, ideally offshore/subsea oil & gas
- Experience in material selection for specific designs
- Understanding of corrosion mechanisms and prevention
- Knowledge of material manufacturing and fabrication processes (forming, forging, heat treatment, welding)
- Familiarity with industry standards (NORSOK, ISO, ASME, API, ASTM, DNV) and SSC design/fabrication requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Familiarity with Subsea Production Systems and Well Systems equipment is desirable
