**TECHNICAL BUYER** **Role** The Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of components, materials and technical services required for production activities and product development. The role will work closely with R&D;, Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure material availability within the required timeframe and in compliance with the company’s technical, quality and cost standards. **Responsibilities**
- Manage the purchasing process for mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components, as well as technical materials.
- Review purchase requests, technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
- Identify, select and qualify new suppliers in cooperation with the Technical and Quality departments.
- Request and compare quotations, negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quantities.
- Issue and monitor purchase orders through to final delivery.
- Ensure material availability in line with production plans and project requirements.
- Manage delays, non-conformities and supply issues, identifying suitable alternative solutions.
- Work with R&D; and Industrialization during the development and introduction of new products.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives, component standardization and supplier-base optimization.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, service and delivery reliability.
- Keep purchasing data, commercial terms and supplier master data updated in the ERP system.




- Support inventory management and the reduction of excess and obsolete stock. **Requirements**: - Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in technical purchasing roles within industrial or manufacturing companies.
- Ability to read technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and management.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to travel to supplier sites when required.
