ppWhere passion meets opportunity /p pThe best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail! /p h3Your Purpose /h3 pThe Hospitality Architecture Interior Review Architect is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and verifying the application of MSC Cruises’ hotel design standards across cabins, suites, corridors, and public areas onboard new cruise ship projects. /p pWorking in close collaboration with Hotel Operations, Brand, Interior Design, Technical, Marine, Procurement, and other operational departments, the position ensures that all guest-facing spaces are functional, consistent with the company’s brand identity, operationally efficient, and compliant with applicable maritime regulations and quality standards. /p pThe role actively contributes to integrating hotel standards within the overall ship concept and detail design, managing inputs from external architects, consultants, shipyards, and suppliers, and reviewing design packages throughout the project lifecycle. It also supports plan approval activities, participates in design reviews, mock‑up evaluations, and onboard inspections, and contributes to the development and continuous improvement of hotel design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency, operational excellence, and a high‑quality guest experience across the fleet. /p h3Your Impact /h3 ul liSupports Hotel Operations, Brand, Technical, Marine, Procurement, and other internal departments in defining functional and compliant hotel layouts for new ship projects. /li liReviews and verifies the implementation of MSC Cruises’ hotel design standards across cabins, suites, corridors, and public areas. /li liEnsures that guest-facing spaces are designed with a strong focus on functionality, guest comfort, operational efficiency, accessibility, and brand consistency.
/li liCollaborates closely with Concept Design and Interior Design teams to integrate hotel standards seamlessly within the broader architectural and ship design framework. /li liAnalyses space planning, circulation, operational requirements, and technical constraints to optimize layouts and avoid design conflicts. /li liCoordinates with external architectural firms, consultants, shipyards, and suppliers to validate design proposals and technical solutions. /li liReviews and comments on Yard/Contractor drawings and design documentation related to hotel areas during all project phases. /li liMonitors design development and ensures that approved standards are maintained throughout concept design, detail design, construction, and delivery. /li liSupports the Plan Approval process by reviewing architectural drawings and specifications for cabins and public areas. /li liParticipates in cross-functional design review meetings, technical workshops, mock‑up evaluations, and onboard inspections. /li liVerifies onboard construction quality and compliance with approved designs through shipyard visits and inspection activities. /li liContributes to the development, update, and continuous improvement of hotel design standards, guidelines, and best practices based on operational feedback and lessons learned from previous projects. /li /ul h3Your Journey so far /h3 ul liDegree in Architecture, Interior Design, or similar is essential /li liMinimum 3–5 years of experience in architectural design, hospitality, hotel, cruise, or luxury residential projects.
