Overview

In this role you will shape the technology strategy for Datalogic’s Mobile Business Unit and drive end-to-end product development, from concept to market. You will lead a global R&D organization, coordinating internal teams and ODM partners to meet quality, cost, performance, and time-to-market objectives. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, embedded hardware/software products and ensure successful lifecycle support. This is a globally impactful role that combines technical leadership with strategic execution to advance the company’s data capture solutions.

Responsabilità

- Define and execute the technology roadmap for the Mobile Business Unit
- Drive product architecture decisions and innovation
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality, Sourcing and Technical Support
- Develop and mentor high-performing engineering teams across multiple geographies
- Manage R&D; budgets, resources, and strategic technology partnerships




- Oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept to industrialization, launch and lifecycle support
- Manage ODM ecosystems and external development partnerships
- Ensure delivery against quality, cost, performance, and time-to-market objectives

Requisiti fondamentali

- 10+ years of R&D; leadership experience in international organizations
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Expertise in mobile computing technologies, embedded Android platforms, wireless connectivity, cybersecurity and system engineering
- Proven experience in ODM management and external development partnerships
- Strong business orientation and people leadership capabilities
- Fluent in English; Italian and other languages are a plus
- Based in Bologna, Italy
