Overview

In this role you contribute to assessing, investigating and remediating contaminated sites within a multidisciplinary Ramboll team. You will work on site investigations, environmental monitoring and data interpretation to support remediation decisions. You collaborate across offices and with clients, regulators and contractors to deliver robust environmental solutions. Responsabilità

- Plan and support environmental site investigations and remediation activities
- Prepare sampling plans, field programmes and technical specifications
- Conduct and supervise soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas sampling
- Supervise drilling, monitoring well installation, excavation, waste management and remediation works
- Coordinate field and office activities to meet scope, schedule and quality
- Manage contractors, laboratories and suppliers, including progress monitoring
- Review field documentation and data quality to ensure regulatory compliance
- Process environmental data using databases, spreadsheets and GIS tools
- Develop and update geological, hydrogeological and environmental conceptual site models
- Support evaluation of contaminant distribution and migration pathways
- Contribute to remediation design, monitoring and emergency response measures
- Prepare technical and monitoring reports and communications with clients and authorities
- Support meetings, site inspections and technical discussions with clients and regulators
- Contribute to proposals, cost estimates,



planning and budget monitoring
- Coordinate project tasks per scope, programme and quality requirements
- Mentor interns and less experienced team members
- Ensure field activities comply with health, safety and environmental requirements

Requisiti fondamentali

- Approximately two to five years of relevant professional experience in environmental consultancy
- Practical experience in contaminated site investigation, environmental monitoring or remediation projects
- Experience in soil and groundwater sampling and supervision of field activities
- Good knowledge of geological and hydrogeological principles and contaminant behaviour
- Ability to interpret environmental and laboratory data and develop conceptual site models
- Knowledge of Italian contaminated site legislation and procedures (Part IV, Title V of D.Lgs. 152/2006)
- Experience in preparing reports in Italian and communicating in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Experience with ArcGIS or QGIS would be an advantage
- Experience with environmental databases, risk assessment software or groundwater modelling tools would be an advantage
- Willingness to undertake field assignments and travel; valid driving licence
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage tasks to deadlines
- Proactive, reliable and capable of working independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Good communication skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach to clients and field personnel
