Overview

As Proposal Estimator you will generate budgetary and firm cost estimates for projects and service agreements, collaborating with Sales, Solution Advisors and Design Engineers. You’ll serve as a cost engineering resource to address customer requirements and deliver timely, accurate estimates aligned with HBS objectives. You will engage cross-functional teams and vendors to scope and price solutions that satisfy customers and support competitive positioning. This role offers exposure to global teams and a chance to influence large-building energy-efficiency projects.

Responsabilità

- Develop accurate, timely estimates for BMS/HVAC, Security, and possibly Fire systems
- Collaborate with sales, operations, procurement and finance to scope and cost-engineer solutions
- Lead internal and external calls and participate in proposal reviews




- Prepare detailed Bills of Materials and risk analyses as needed
- Obtain vendor quotes and engage suppliers for sub-contracted work
- Support customer meetings and final negotiations to secure bids
- Ensure 100% compliance with health and safety policies and internal processes
- Engage early with sales to understand RFQ and design suitable solutions

Requisiti fondamentali

- Bachelor or Master in computer science, electronics, mechanical, building automation engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; basic AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to operate collaboratively
- Understanding of digital/cloud technologies; ability to develop Excel macros
- English and Italian communicative knowledge
- Willingness to learn and work in a team; understanding of smart technologies and cybersecurity
