Overview
Senior SW engineer to lead software specification, architecture and lifecycle activities for space systems. You will translate system and customer requirements into software solutions and oversee architecture, integration, and cyber security considerations. The role collaborates with hardware, test benches, and external contractors to deliver a robust SW baseline for flight and ground support. You will shape the SW development plan and support cyber security efforts in a mission-critical environment. This is a senior role at a cross-border space company actively delivering advanced orbital infrastructures.
Responsabilità
Define SW functional, interface, and performance requirements from System and Customer requirements
Allocate requirements to main subsystems (DH/ Thermal/ TTC/Power)
Define SW Architecture and development plan across SW lifecycle
Support selection and follow-on of SW contractors
Prepare and maintain the overall SW Technical Baseline




Oversee SW unit test outcomes and SW/HW-SW integration and validation on SVF/STB/ATB benches
Prepare technical documentation (SW ICD, user manual, budgets)
Define SW requirements, design solutions and coding rules for cybersecurity
Coordinate and follow cyber security activities related to SW
Requisiti fondamentali
Master Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace or Electronics engineering
Experience in RTOS and programming languages (including assembly)
Good knowledge of communication protocols (serial lines, buses, networks)
Problem solving attitude
Good management skills (scheduling, costs, supplier selection and follow-on)
Team working and good communication skills
Excellent written and spoken English
