Role Description The Remote Chat Support Specialist will provide timely and empathetic support to beneficiaries, partners, donors, and community members through online chat channels. The specialist will document interactions, track recurring questions, and contribute to improving FAQs and help resources. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting basic technical issues related to online platforms, ensuring clear communication, and maintaining a professional and supportive tone aligned with the organization’s mission. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams to share feedback from chat interactions and enhance the overall supporter and beneficiary experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Support and Communication skills to respond clearly, courteously,



and efficiently to a diverse range of chat inquiries.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to assist users with basic platform issues and guide them through simple technical steps.
- Candidates should possess effective Analytical Skills to interpret user questions, identify patterns in issues, and suggest improvements to support resources.
- Experience with online chat platforms, help desk tools, or CRM systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Interest or experience in the nonprofit sector, youth development, or education in East Africa is an advantage.
- Proficiency in written English is required; additional local languages are a plus.
