The Private Sector Operations Division (PSD) is responsible for originating, structuring, delivering, and managing IFAD's private sector investments (Non-Sovereign Operations - NSOs). The Agri-Business Capital Fund (ABC Fund) is a key initiative to drive inclusive finance and create employment opportunities. /p pJob purpose: To provide expert technical advice and strategic guidance on private sector investments, particularly for the ABC Fund, supporting the origination, structuring, delivery, and management of IFAD's NSOs in developing countries. The role involves bridging funding gaps for SMEs, financial institutions, and farmer organizations, and integrating private sector perspectives into country strategies. /p pResponsibilities: Originate, screen, structure, and deliver IFAD Non-Sovereign Private Sector Operations (NSOs); develop NSO pipeline, including blended finance operations; conduct due diligence and lead missions; advise on integrating private sector development into country strategies; support partnership building and resource mobilization; contribute to knowledge management and reporting on NSOs; monitor and evaluate NSO performance. /p pEducation: Advanced university degree in Finance,



Rural Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business, or a relevant discipline. A first university degree plus four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for an advanced degree. /p pWork experience: At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in structuring and managing rural finance and agriculture private sector investments in developing countries, including private equity experience. At least two of these years must be at the international level. Experience as a non-executive board member or investment committee member in an impact fund is a plus. /p pSkills: Expertise in assessing private sector investment proposals, reviewing transactions and complex facilities using regular and blended finance, conducting due diligence, and recommending financial/investment decisions. Proven expertise in deploying financial instruments. Authoritative expertise in private sector investments applied to rural finance and agriculture in emerging markets. Experience in private equity and in Africa, Caribbean and Pacific regions is an asset. Strong analytical and drafting skills.
