Responsibilities
- The Business Development Team is responsible for identifying, acquiring and growing emerging merchants as well as creating long-term strategies to develop existing businesses on TikTok Shop. The team manages hundreds of accounts across various verticals.The team is seeking a Business Development Intern who is responsible for identifying and onboarding e-commerce brands/retailers/merchants and providing them with development strategies, educational support and other resources to gain success on TikTok Shop.
- Lead qualification; Identify relevant sellers for onboarding based on lead lists and own industry research, support merchant acquisition and - once onboarded - first product listings and sales.
- Support outreach activities through email campaigns and calls to book meetings.
- Collaborate with account managers to analyse the category growth opportunities of merchants through data analysis,



and continuously improve the operational capabilities and output of merchants on the platform.
- Follow up on product selection and submission for key special campaigns and promotional activities, as well as the tracking and analysis of the post campaign performance.
- Support category deep dives and reporting to measure performance and identify category trends.
