Who is VINHOOD?
VINHOOD is a technology company specialized in collecting — through online services, events, and partnerships — and analyzing consumption data through a proprietary sensory model.
We have developed an online service that detects consumer preferences (Taste Test, www.vinhood.com) and translates them into sensory profiles composed of multiple variables. These profiles are used to segment consumers across food and beverage categories, supporting tailored services for companies in the FMCG sector.
Behind the model there are 3 million taste profiles, 100 million data points across 43 countries, and ten years of algorithm development.
At VINHOOD, we foster a highly dynamic work environment. Our teams are made up of young, energetic, and curious individuals, with a constant exchange of skills, perspectives, and work styles. People are at the heart of our growth — free to take initiative, innovate, and help shape the future of a continuously evolving company.
About the Role
We're looking for a curious and driven Junior Business Data Analyst with 2–4 years of experience to join our Data & Sensory team.
The team combines deep expertise in taste science with data analysis to power taste intelligence solutions for leading Food & Beverage companies. We're now adding a profile that sits between the data and the business impact it creates.
What you'll do
● Turn client requests into clear analytical questions, and structure the data work needed to answer them.
● Design data collection together with our sensory experts: define what to ask, whom to ask, and how to structure responses so the resulting data can actually answer the question.
● Analyze survey and taste test responses to identify consumer taste patterns,
and translate them into business-relevant takeaways.
● Explore how product performance relates to taste clusters, supporting client decisions on new product development, portfolio optimization, and positioning across markets.
● Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that make taste and consumer data easy to use for internal teams and clients.
● Present your results clearly, adapting the level of detail to the audience.
You'll do this day to day with Google Sheets, SQL, Python, BI dashboards, and AI tools.
Who you are
Essential
● Master's degree (Laurea Magistrale) in a quantitative field: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science or similar.
● 2–4 years of working experience in data or business analysis.
● Solid data analysis skills: you can clean, aggregate, and interpret data independently.
● Comfortable working with imperfect data: a significant part of the work is checking and preparing data before the analysis begins.
● Strong business judgment: you can look at a dataset and identify what's actually useful to know, not just what's interesting to measure.
● Solid foundations in statistics (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals) and mathematics (algebra, calculus).
● Solid working knowledge of SQL and Python, and hands-on experience with BI tools.
● Proficient-level written and spoken English and Italian required.
● Autonomy: you can own your work without close supervision.
● Curiosity and initiative: you see your own growth as your responsibility.
Nice to have
● Experience on projects involving customer data and behaviour
● Interest in taste, sensory experience, gastronomy, or the Food & Beverage sector
What we offer
● A chance to work in a cutting-edge industry, where science and creativity shape the future of food.
● A strong culture of continuous learning, to grow your technical, analytical, and business skills from day one.
● Hybrid work model: up to 3 days of remote work per week.
● Office located in the heart of Milan (Piazza della Repubblica 32).
● Full-time permanent contract, gross annual salary (RAL) between €35,000 and €45,000, depending on background and experience.
● Growth through the management of complex projects and direct client interaction.
● Strong cross-functional collaboration and continuous training.
We will evaluate your CV based on educational and professional experience and achievements related to the role. Any personal information (such as nationality, religion, age, etc.) will not be considered in the selection process, and you may remove it from your CV.
