ph3Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre /h3 h3About the opportunity /h3 pPeoItaly, an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential international general contractor specialising in the design, construction and delivery of major Data Centre and mission-critical projects across Europe. /p pThe company is seeking an experienced bMechanical Construction Manager /b to join the project team supporting a large-scale Data Centre development in bBertonico, in the province of Lodi /b. /p pThe successful candidate will be employed directly by the client and will take responsibility for managing mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring that the works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with the required technical and quality standards. /p pThis opportunity is particularly suitable for a construction professional with strong experience in HVAC, piping and building-services installations who is comfortable coordinating subcontractors and managing complex site activities through construction, testing, commissioning and final handover. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liManage and oversee all mechanical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. /li liLead day-to-day mechanical site operations in coordination with the wider project team. /li liSupervise mechanical subcontractors, monitoring performance, productivity, manpower levels and progress against the agreed programme. /li liCoordinate mechanical activities with Project Managers, Planners, consultants, design teams and other construction disciplines. /li liReview mechanical drawings, specifications, technical submittals and construction documentation to verify compliance, quality and buildability. /li liLiaise with the design team to ensure that drawings, technical information and material submittals are issued in accordance with programme requirements. /li liOversee the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping and associated building services. /li liEnsure that mechanical works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and quality requirements.



/li liImplement and maintain the required QA/QC processes, inspections and project records. /li liEnsure that subcontractor documentation, including quality and health and safety documentation, is complete and kept up to date. /li liAttend and lead site meetings, engineering reviews, planning meetings, coordination meetings and handover meetings. /li liMonitor construction sequencing, interfaces and dependencies with electrical, CSA, BIM and commissioning teams. /li liProactively identify and resolve technical, design, installation and coordination issues. /li liSupport commercial management by monitoring costs, reviewing variations and participating in regular commercial meetings. /li liPrepare and issue progress reports to senior management and the wider project team. /li liManage mechanical snagging and punch-list activities, ensuring the timely close-out of outstanding items. /li liSupport testing, commissioning, completion and handover activities for mechanical systems. /li liEnsure full compliance with health and safety requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across the site. /li /ul h3Candidate profile /h3 pWe are interested in candidates with: /p ul liA bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. /li liAt least eight years of professional experience in mechanical construction, with a strong focus on site management. /li liProven experience managing mechanical installations on large-scale construction projects. /li liStrong technical knowledge of HVAC, piping and associated mechanical building services. /li liPractical understanding of mechanical installation, testing, commissioning and handover processes. /li liStrong knowledge of construction sequencing, multidisciplinary coordination and programme delivery.



/li liProven experience supervising subcontractors and driving progress against project milestones. /li liThe ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, technical submittals and construction documentation. /li liStrong leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. /li liThe ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams. /li liProfessional working proficiency in English. /li liAvailability to work full-time on site in Bertonico, in the province of Lodi. /li /ul pPrevious experience in bData Centres or other mission-critical environments /b is highly valued.
