Working closely with Procurement, Materials Management, Logistics and Construction teams, the Materials Controller will play a key role in ensuring efficient material flow, strong inventory control and the successful delivery of the project. /p h3Key Responsibilities of the Role: /h3 ul liManage the day-to-day operation of the project warehouse, ensuring the safe receipt,



storage, handling and dispatch of materials. /li liEnsure warehouse operations support the project programme by maintaining material availability and the timely issue of materials to site. /li liMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock movements are properly controlled and traceable. /li liCoordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with project teams, suppliers and logistics providers. /li liEnsure goods receipts and supporting documentation are processed accurately and in accordance with company procedures. /li liCarry out routine stock checks and investigate inventory discrepancies. /li liEnsure all materials are correctly identified, labelled and stored in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and project quality requirements. /li liMaintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse environment. /li liLead, supervise and support warehouse operatives, allocating daily workloads and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. /li liLiaise with Procurement, Materials Management, Logistics and Construction teams to ensure material availability aligns with project requirements. /li liMonitor material movements and maintain accurate warehouse records.



/li liSupport project audits, inventory reviews and material inspections as required. /li liEnsure compliance with all company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements. /li liPrepare regular reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels and material movements. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. /li /ul h3Essential Criteria for the Role: /h3 ul liMinimum 3 years' experience in warehouse operations within the construction, engineering or industrial sectors, including experience supervising warehouse activities or teams. /li liStrong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and material control principles. /li liExperience managing project materials within a fast-paced construction environment. /li liGood understanding of goods receipt, stock control and inventory accuracy.Experience leading and supervising warehouse teams. /li liGood IT skills with experience using inventory management or ERP systems. /li liExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. /li liStrong communication and stakeholder management skills. /li liAbility to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands. /li liForklift licence or relevant material handling experience is desirable. /li liQualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management or a related discipline is advantageous. /li /ul pbMercury is an equal opportunities employer. /b /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
