Mechanical Design Engineer – E-Mobility | Northern Italy (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative, fast-growing team in the e-mobility sector, based in Northern Italy (Bolzano area) on a hybrid model (3 days on-site per week). For candidates travelling from other regions, travel and accommodation costs are covered.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on product development and design engineering position focused on turning concepts into manufacturable EV charging hardware. You will work on the development and optimization of mechanical products and components in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

What You Will Do

- Develop and optimize mechanical products and components
- Design mechanical components such as power electronics housings, charging components, and current‑carrying parts (busbars, mounting brackets, covers, cooling‑related parts)
- Create manufacturing and assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Evaluate and test prototypes, including inspection, assembly, fit checks, and root‑cause analysis
- Coordinate technically with suppliers to ensure manufacturable designs




- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams

Day‑to‑Day Activities
- CAD design work in SolidWorks
- Drawings and BOM management
- Product development and problem solving
- Supplier interaction
- Prototypes and testing

What You Bring
- Technical high school diploma or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in mechanical design and product development
- Experience with manufacturing processes (sheet metal forming, injection molding, machining, etc.) xysqume is an advantage
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Good English, German, and/or Italian language skills
- Ability to communicate with suppliers and support prototype builds and design iterations
