The role also supports the Life Sciences business in the eastern hemisphere and provides support to wider Milan business. to ensure the balance of risk is appropriate for the associated scope and remuneration model.Negotiation of contractual terms with clientsProviding overviews of contract T&Cs and associated issues to senior management and execution teams, as applicableIdentification of contractual risks for inclusion in the risk management processSupport Supply Chain and other functions in drafting and developing prime contract flow down terms to be incorporated in to purchase orders and subcontracts.Preparation, negotiation establishment and administration of Joint Venture and / or Partnering agreementsThe provision of contractual interpretation advice, as required.Support Treasury in the timely provision of commercial deliverables (e.G. bonds, PCG's, evidence of insurance) in accordance with contract requirements and Wood Policies.Provision of contractual inputs to Commercial Handovers, including mitigations and actions required by Contracting Policy approvals.Supporting Subcontracts and Procurement Department during negotiation with subcontractors / suppliers.Drafting / commenting on license agreements where Wood acts as licensor.QualificationsDegree in LawLegally qualified (preferred but not required)Knowledge, Skills And ExperienceExperience and proven track record of contract review, drafting and negotiation: 5+ yearsRelevant Client Facing Contracting Experience: 3-5+ yearsIn addition to undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience, the individual should have work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key contracting principlesWorking knowledge of contract terms, contract principles and drafting and roll out of contracting policies Working knowledge of the Company Finance and HR systemsAwareness of all relevant corporate and project proceduresExcellent understanding of Client contract structures, principles, and policiesEnglish fluent; Italian goodPersonal AttributesUtmost integrityExcellent negotiating skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPlanning and organizational skillsStrong client (internal and external)
