The role focuses on the strategic management of procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation of commercial terms, and management of the product/item database, with the aim of optimizing company resources. The Purchasing Manager also provides support to Project Managers (PMs) in selecting suppliers and materials according to specific customer requirements.Main Responsibilities1. Procurement ManagementResearch and select suppliers, negotiating commercial, financial, and logistics termsMonitor supplier quality and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with specificationsOptimize purchasing activities according to production planning, reducing waste and costsNegotiate purchasing terms to achieve economic and operational benefits2. Product / Item Database ManagementContinuously maintain and update the product/item database, including relevant technical specificationsManage supplier price lists, ensuring that item codes and current prices are valid and up to dateEnsure that product/item information is complete, accurate, and easily accessible3.



Support to Project ManagersWork closely with PMs to identify the products and services required to meet specific customer requirementsProvide guidance on material selection based on technical and operational needsEnsure that purchased materials meet quality standards and comply with project timelines4. Procurement OptimizationCoordinate with production planning to determine material requirements and optimize purchasing quantitiesAnalyze cash flow and procurement requirements to maximize purchasing efficiency5. Inventory ManagementMonitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages or excess stockWork closely with inbound logistics to ensure effective inventory managementEnsure that materials are delivered on time and in compliance with specifications.Required Skills and QualificationsAt least 2–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement managementPrevious experience in the relevant industry or similar sectors will be considered a strong advantage, particularly experience purchasing products and services for manufacturing companies (raw materials such as wood and related products, Plexiglas, screws, metal furniture, etc.)Strong negotiation and supplier management skillsKnowledge of ERP systems and management softwareBasic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, specifically the ability to read technical drawingsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office 365Knowledge of regulations relating to purchasing and supply managementTechnical diploma or degree preferredWhat We Offer6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of subsequent permanent employment. xysqume Salary depending on candidate’s skills and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
