Overview As a Mechanical Integration Mechanical Design Engineer, you will manage CAD activities and integrate subsystems to achieve progressive maturity within allocated volumes. You will produce 3D/2D designs for home-made parts, ensure compliance of bought parts, and deliver assembly drawings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces and support industrialization with accurate BOMs.
This role sits within Engineering (Site) and contributes to Alstom's mission of greener, smarter mobility.
Oversee CAD activities and ensure timely delivery of 3D models Create annotated SAMs for supplier exchanges and verify supplier feedback Perform 3D detailed design of home-made parts within defined interfaces and constraints Perform 2D or annotated 3D detailed design following data structuring rules Produce assembly drawings and generate BOMs for industrialization Provide weight data and support stack-up calculations Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as structural design, routing, and project teams Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering ~1–2 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in railway products ~ Desirable: 3D modelling and drawing creation, heavy industry design ~ English: intermediate reading/writing; 3D modelling ~
